TSR Capital Bags RM16.9 Million Seremban Earthworks Contract

TSR Capital Bhd has secured a RM16.9 million contract to carry out site clearing and earthworks in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, adding to the Malaysian construction firm’s order book as it looks ahead to the 2027 financial year.

The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, TSR Bina Sdn Bhd, accepted a letter of award from MIE Industrial Sdn Bhd for the construction and completion of the project, TSR Capital said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The scope of work covers site clearing and earthworks, with the contract running for four months. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2026.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending June 30, 2027,” the company said in the exchange filing.

The award comes as Malaysian construction firms continue to compete for infrastructure and development projects across the country. Seremban, the capital of Negri Sembilan, has seen steady growth in industrial and residential development, driving demand for preliminary earthworks and site preparation services.

TSR Capital, which operates primarily through its construction and property development arms, has been working to replenish its order book with smaller, faster-turnaround contracts that can deliver earnings visibility within a single financial year. The four-month timeline on this project means revenue recognition should begin almost immediately.

The company did not disclose further details on the project site or the nature of the development that will follow the earthworks phase.

For investors, the contract provides incremental earnings visibility into fiscal 2027, though at RM16.9 million it represents a relatively modest addition to the group’s overall revenue base. The positive earnings statement from the board signals confidence that margins on the job will be acceptable given current operating conditions.

Shares of TSR Capital have been thinly traded in recent months, and the announcement is unlikely to move the stock significantly on its own. However, a steady stream of similar contract wins could help rebuild investor confidence in the company’s execution capabilities and order book momentum.

TSR Capital’s financial year runs from July 1 to June 30, meaning the project’s completion in the fourth quarter of calendar 2026 will fall within the first half of the company’s fiscal 2027.
